Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the VRNUM website and services ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to all of these terms, you must not use the Service. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and VRNUM.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to use VRNUM. By registering an account, you represent and warrant that you are 18 or older and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the Service complies with the laws of your jurisdiction.

3. Description of Service

VRNUM provides virtual phone numbers for the purpose of receiving SMS messages and OTP (One-Time Password) verifications online. Numbers are provisioned through licensed telecom partners and assigned exclusively to your account for the duration of your subscription. The Service is provided for legitimate personal and professional use. VRNUM does not provide voice calling, outbound SMS, or phone number porting services.

4. Account Registration

You must provide a valid email address to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account password and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised access to your account. We reserve the right to terminate accounts that provide false registration information.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of others. You may use VRNUM to:

• Verify personal accounts on online platforms where SMS verification is required.
• Protect your personal phone number's privacy when registering for online services.
• Test SMS-based verification flows in software development and quality assurance.
• Maintain a local presence number in a foreign country for accessing region-locked services.

6. Prohibited Activities

You must not use the Service for any of the following:

• Fraud, scams, phishing, or any form of financial crime.
• Spam, bulk messaging, or unsolicited commercial communications.
• Harassment, threats, or abuse directed at any individual or group.
• Creating fraudulent accounts on platforms where this is explicitly prohibited by that platform's terms (e.g. creating fake identities for the purpose of deception).
• Impersonating another person, organisation, or entity.
• Any activity that violates the laws of your jurisdiction or international law, including laws relating to privacy, data protection, and telecommunications.
• Reselling or redistributing VRNUM services or access to our platform without explicit written permission.
• Attempting to reverse-engineer, scrape, or automate access to the VRNUM platform beyond normal use.

Violation of this section may result in immediate account suspension without refund and may be reported to relevant authorities.

7. Cryptocurrency Payments

All payments on VRNUM are processed exclusively in cryptocurrency via third-party payment gateways (currently Cryptomus). By making a payment, you understand and agree that:

• Cryptocurrency transactions are irreversible once confirmed on the blockchain.
• The USD equivalent displayed at checkout is based on live exchange rates at the time of the transaction. Exchange rate fluctuations are the user's responsibility.
• Blockchain network fees (gas fees) are charged by the network and are not controlled by VRNUM.
• VRNUM is not responsible for payments sent to incorrect wallet addresses, lost transactions due to incorrect network selection (e.g. sending ERC20 tokens to a TRC20 address), or funds lost due to exchange rate volatility.

8. Wallet Balance

VRNUM offers an internal wallet where you can pre-load balance for instant purchases. Wallet balance is store credit that can only be used within the VRNUM platform. It cannot be withdrawn, transferred to an external wallet, or converted back to cryptocurrency. Wallet balance does not expire while your account remains active. VRNUM is not a financial institution and wallet balances do not bear interest.

9. Subscriptions and Renewals

Virtual number subscriptions are available on monthly (30-day) or yearly (365-day) terms. If auto-renewal is enabled in your dashboard, we will attempt to renew your number using your VRNUM wallet balance 3 days before expiry. If your balance is insufficient at renewal time, the number will expire and be released. VRNUM is not responsible for service interruptions resulting from insufficient wallet balance for auto-renewal.

10. Number Availability and Service Continuity

While we strive for the highest possible uptime and SMS delivery rates, VRNUM cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. Number availability and SMS delivery depend in part on our upstream telecom partners and third-party networks, which are outside our direct control. We do not guarantee that any specific online platform will accept our virtual numbers for SMS verification, as third-party platforms may update their fraud detection systems at any time.

11. Account Suspension and Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or permanently terminate your account and revoke access to any associated virtual numbers, without prior notice, if we reasonably determine that you have violated these Terms of Service, engaged in fraudulent or abusive activity, or if required to do so by law. Suspended accounts are not entitled to refunds for any remaining subscription period. You may appeal a suspension by contacting [email protected].

12. Intellectual Property

All content, software, graphics, and branding on the VRNUM platform are the exclusive intellectual property of VRNUM or its licensors. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use the Service for its intended purpose. You may not copy, distribute, modify, create derivative works from, or commercially exploit any part of the VRNUM platform without express written permission.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, VRNUM and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to: loss of profits or revenue, loss of data, business interruption, damage to reputation, or account bans imposed by third-party platforms as a result of using our numbers. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from the use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to VRNUM in the 30 days preceding the claim.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless VRNUM and its operators from and against any claims, damages, penalties, fines, losses, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from: your use of the Service in violation of these Terms, your violation of any third party's rights, or your violation of any applicable law or regulation.

15. Governing Law

These Terms shall be interpreted in accordance with generally applicable principles of international commercial law. You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of the Service complies with the laws of your own jurisdiction. Any dispute arising from these Terms that cannot be resolved amicably shall be subject to binding arbitration.

16. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms of Service at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email to your registered address at least 7 days before taking effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the Service.
